Urdu Language Penetration by Movies

To make any language penetrate in to the masses, the linguists always suggest creating good movies in that language. The movies can be a great source of penetration of the Urdu language. However, Pakistan is very unfortunate in this regard.

The only decent Urdu movie that the Pakistanis rampantly know of is “khuda K Liey”. This movie was decent; nevertheless, it was a propaganda movie in the eyes of many. While it raised the issue of American atrocities on innocent people correctly, it presented a much-distorted issue of the religion of Islam.
Other than that, there are no other Urdu movies made in Pakistan or by the Pakistanis that can be referred here. However, India is very advance in this regard. Their film industry has become a giant money generating machine form them.
The pertinent question here is that do the Indian movies promote Urdu language? The answer is yes. The Indian movies promote the Urdu language. However, they claim the name of the language to be Hindi. It is also true that as Urdu the language has many errors. Moreover, it is heavily polluted by the Hindi words.
For the promotion of Urdu, quality Urdu movies should be produced. It might cost too much money but with the outcomes, it is going to be worth it.
