Zee Salaam: Another Urdu TV channel from India

In the beginning of this year a pioneer TV group in India, Zee, launched Zee Salaam, a channel intended for the Urdu speaking public.

After ETV Urdu and DD Urdu, It is the third Urdu channel in India. ETV Urdu is effectively on air for a decade now and is reasonably well-liked in India and out of the country. Doordarshan's Urdu channel DD Urdu, which was on aired a couple of years back.

Zee Salaam seems more of an Islamic channel than an Urdu channel. Barely any attempt is able to be seen in programmes. Certainly, there is a huge section that likes religious programmes but Zee Salaam more and more looks like a copy of QTV or similar other religious channels. They don't need to spend much when devotional programmes are to be aired throughout the day.

Zee Salaam is telecasting many Islamic Programmes so far. However audience in India expects some sort of entertainment form this channel as it belongs to Zee Group. They don’t expect to see mulla’s on Zee Salam.

Although there are people who are watching the Islamic programmes but there are people who are complaining about the content aired on this channel.
