The Urdu language is spoken by Pakistani and Indians all over the world. In the spread of a language, the media plays a great role.
The Pakistanis do not like the language which Indians speak known as Hindi. It is because it is a method to pollute Urdu language. The Indians add too many words of the Hindi or the Sanskrit to the Urdu language and claim it their own language.
It is a very unfortunate fact that the Pakistanis are not good at making quality movies. Otherwise, they might have penetrated their national language, Urdu in to the masses all over the world. The Indian film industry is popular all over the world.
“A few words of Hindi appear here or there, but it's all Urdu. I feel that if the popular culture, which is what Hindi films are, uses Urdu, it's not going to diminish”. Ismail Merchant
However, Ismail Merchant’s quote does not justify the fact by any means that the Pakistanis have lacked behind in producing good Urdu movies.
However, the Urdu drama serials are doing a great job. They promote the Urdu all over the world because the people really like them. The Urdu drama serials of the past are still popular today.
